johannesbonn commented on Jul 12, 2017. Hi, I have tried several times to flash a wemo d1 mini with platformio connected by a ftdi (set to 5V). Upload process seems successfull but connected to the USB port for regular power supply nothing happens. I can't find the wemos in my
Turning Wemos D1 mini on/off by a pushbutton #91716. Hi, I've searched in the web a lot but I've found nothing related to that until now. I've got esp8266 board (Wemos d1 mini) and a battery shield (I've got a LiPo battery too). So, I've planned to put this stuff in a plastic case and in this way there is no need to power Wemos d1 mini on by cable.

Another thing to consider is the LDO on the wemos d1 mini (clone?) used. If I remember right the original wemos (now lolin) used a LDO with a drop out voltage around 4.5V. The possibility that clones use worst/cheaper parts which drop out already at 4.7 or 4.8V might easily explain the behauvior the thread opener experiences
Wemos D1 Booting Problem. Using Arduino Microcontrollers. carlmeek August 14, 2017, 5:31pm 1. I’ve been really struggling with a WEMOS D1 Mini. When I power it with regulated 5v it doesn’t boot until you press reset. I’ve pulled up every GPIO+RST except GPIO15 which is directly grounded.
The ESP8266 chip has a single ADC device which reads signal levels up to 1.8 volts or so. The good news is that my favourite ESP8266 based device, the Wemos D1 mini, has a ā€œpotential dividerā€ circuit on the board that allows the input to accept inputs up to the 3.3 volt power supply. You can wire it up as shown above. Wemos D1 mini pins on HIGH on startup. Using Arduino Project Guidance. Assamita November 16, 2021, 11:07am 1. Hi. I have a project with a Wemos D1 mini and a 4-channel relay module with optocouplers. I only use 3 of the relays in the module, and on startup, two of them are on HIGH, even though I've set them on low in the setup: void setup .
